Nurses basket?

So I’m on the fence about doing a nurses gift basket. I’ve seen so many videos and insta posts about nursing loving a little gift basket and I want them to know how appreciated they are especially during these hard times, but I’m not sure if it’s over the top too extra to bring one or if I should with Covid going on. What do you ladies think??

Ask before to make sure you can still give them something during this pandemic. I'm planning to bring a giant bag or two or hershey's chocolates. I did that last time and the nurses loved it.

Since we are due January, you could take advantage of after Christmas sales on hand lotion, sanitizer, maybe a bath bomb, chocolate and chapstick and make individual baggies for them. I just made 10 this time around which is still overkill because I’m not sure if every nurse will feel comfortable taking one which is okay! With my oldest I only had 5 nurses the whole time and my female OBGYN. I made a couple that were more gender neutral or “masculine” this time because I did have one male nurse last time and he got a lip smackers and floral hand cream like everyone else. 😂
I think total last time on 15 bags I spent around $50? Maybe less? It’s definitely not necessary but my parents are both nurses and I know how it can make their day to get a little recognition!

These nurses are a godsend. I say do it. Even if the hospital says you can’t drop anything off, you can always keep something in your room with you and offer it to anyone who comes in and feels comfortable taking something.
