Sleep training

My daughter is 12 months old and I’ve finally decided to sleep train her. We’ve started a few weeks ago but she still cries a lot throughout the night. Some nights are worse than others but you’d think that she’d gotten used to it by now.

Problem is now she’s teething and I’m trying my hardest to stick by the rules but naps are especially hard. Like today I nursed her and laid her in her crib when she was drowsy. She cried for 40 minutes until I intervened and held her. She later fell asleep nursing again except this time I waited until she was fully asleep before I laid her down 😒

Any advice as to how to proceed with a teething very attached one year old?
