Someone in my family told me that a group of them that I thought I was close with talk badly frequently about me in person, via phone or text. Gossiping, spreading stuff, twisting stuff. She gave me examples and it’s all private things I’ve told one of my close family members in confidence - who then spreads it and talks badly about everything about me.

I got proof of this when I confronted said family members and they blew up at me and that “they’re grown they can say whatever they want” and that “I expect too much and cant tell people what to do”.

They then went on to say they don’t owe me any type of apology - and this is all family I thought was close with me and loved me.

Is this normal?
