For those with young kids, do you prefer living in a neighborhood with lots of young families and kids, or a more private spot with less socialization and children?

As toddlers we prefer private but maybe as teenagers having friends close by sounds better.

I live in a neighborhood with no kids my daughters age and its very lonely for her. I wish we had little neighborhood kids for her to play with..i think she'd be happier and less "bored" all the time

We’re pretty private people, so me and my partner would be fine if we were on our own, but I love that our kids have friends in the neighborhood. My daughter has become best friends with a girl across the road and on weekend they go back and forth between our houses all day. It keeps her busy and out of my hair!
