How do you know when your period is over?

Is it considered over when I start seeing light brown discharge instead of blood? Or when my flow stops being heavy and is just dark brown when I wipe here and there?

I usually go by when it’s stopped completely its over.

When I pull my cup out and it’s just discharge, no blood.

I go by when the flow stops. I don't consider spotting as a period.
