It happened to me once, so probably less true. 
I actually forgot her name and everything, she only was weird for a little bit. But the intensity of the weirdness was hard to forget- she was trying to lure me to the park to fight me? But then she also said she wanted to fuck me 🙃 
My thoughts back then were just like: "Uh, are you ok? We've never met?"
She dated my ex after me, I guess she did & didn't like the sound of me. 
Otherwise, the ladies & gentletheys I've been involved with in those scenarios were very chill. No stalking necessary. 
I look people up out of curiosity, but that's about it.
