Should I be worried? Or did I overstep?

When I’m bored and can’t sleep I look up my families names online, sometimes you find pretty funny stuff.

I decided to look up my new boyfriends name.

Turns out he has a meetme, it’s very old, as the picture was of him in middle school and he’s now 24, so I found it funny.

I brought it up to him, thinking it was funny, and he immediately got defensive saying he’d never heard of it before and “it can’t be me, must be another guy” I explained I wasn’t accusing him and that it was an old photo and I thought it was funny, but he wouldn’t have it.

Did I over step? Or does this seem like a red flag?
