Help! Did I screw up my cetrotide shot? + Photo

Hi ladies!
I’ve been away for a bit, trying to decrease my screen time. Anyway, I’m on day 5 of stims for my second retrieval and the nurse called and based on my blood work told me to go ahead and do a cetrotide shot ASAP, and then add it to my morning routine. 
I guess I was kind of in a rush after she seemed kind of urgent, and I didn’t do a great job of getting the air bubbles out, and also I kind of pushed the needle in deeper than usual. Anyway, the spot where I injected got raised and red, and also bled more than usual (photo attached). 
Has anyone done this (stomach injection too deep, air bubbles) or had this reaction of raised and red? 
Trying to figure out how worried I should be!!

Thank you everyone!!! Super helpful to know this is normal!! It’s now just a big bruise so I think it all worked out fine. Also this morning when I did another cetrotide injection i barely reacted at all, no issues. So strange! And similar to many of you who said it caused a reaction at first then settled down. Sigh ivf life 🤷‍♀️

I had that off and on with cetrotide. Not sure why but some days it was a non-event, other days it was like a bee sting with swelling and pain.

No need to worry! Air bubbles are really only an issue if you’re injecting directly into the vein, which you aren’t. Ice the bump to help with the swelling and bruising. Normal reaction :)

I had the same reaction everytime I took cetrotide. It was also itchy for a couple hours. My nurse told me I could take a Benadryl and that helped immensely.

I had that reaction to ganerelix, I was told there is a slight bit of latex that causes that 🤷🏻‍♀️... I haven’t used it again for stims 2&3 only lupron.

Agree with everyone else, that's a normal reaction to cetrotide. Mine started like that the first 3/4 and left bruises each time, but when I've used it more recently it hasn't been quite as bad, not sure if your body gets used to it eventually 🤷

I had this every time! Very normal. Mine would get super itchy too . Wishing you luck!

I had this reaction the first time but not really after that. I let it come to room temp after the first night which I think helped.

B is right. A lot of people have a reaction to cetrotide/ganirelix. It’s nothing to worry about unless you notice it getting worse over time. In that case I’d reach out to the nursing line or whoever is on call.
