do i need to tell my dentist i smoke weed before wisdom teeth removal

getting all 4 removed and getting put under, i haven’t smoked since saturday night and i was going to right now before it gets too late but i read things online that make me unsure to do it ? i saw a lot of people also saying they were smoking before and after any tooth removal or surgery which i know you’re definitely not supposed to after wards. Let me know y’all experiences.

Do not smoke. Like you can literally wait until after you get your things removed to smoke cuz some dentists can refuse you.

You’re good. Just don’t smoke anything (weed, cigarettes) day of or afterwards. When your gums are all stitched up, you’re prone to creating ducts (holes) from smoke and those can become permanent. Once you’re all healed up, smoke away lol. Our mouths heal incredibly fast so I don’t see more than a week or so recovery, but each body heals differently

I'd tell your Dr only because mine have said it can change the amount of anesthesia you need (you need more), some drs will not take the chance

No you don’t need to tell your dentist. You’re totally fine. Your dentist will make sure that you are nice and numb on the side where the tooth is being taken, and if you are not, he will give you more anesthetic. Just do not smoke afterwards whatever you do!

They don’t need to know. But try as hard as you can not to smoke afterwards because it can cause dry rot and it’s terrifying.
