Do you cover when breastfeeding in public

Just curious because I so wish I was comfortable with not covering but I feel like people are so judgmental these days 🙄 I had to feed my baby in my cat with the cover and it was so uncomfortable for the both of us. I used to wonder why some women didn’t use a cover but now having my own baby and breastfeeding I totally understand why you wouldn’t use a cover

It depends where I am! The only reason why I cover is because I hate creepy old men staring and me, and people that sexualize it, so I do it to avoid that.

Not going out in public with baby right now due to covid but if I did then I would cover because people are creepy and stare. otherwise I wouldn’t care.

I did with my daughter every time even at families houses. With my second now I just discreetly do it, I’ve got a few really nice nursing tops so you would have to come up to me and look down to see anything. Small boobs help with hiding 😁

Partly. I don’t cover up my babies’ heads but my boobs aren’t hanging out. I have some nursing tops but mostly do the two shirt method. Most people just think I’m just holding them and try to get close to see their faces and tell them that they’re nursing and they back up.

Im why when it comes to breastfeeding in public. I usually pump before I leave the house and I’ll give him a bottle. However there have been a couple of instances where I have to breastfeed when we are out. If we go over to family’s house then I’ll go into a room to nurse. If we are out running errands I’ll nurse him in the backseat of our car and either put my shirt over or a nursing cover in case anyone can see inside the car. It’s not very comfortable though so I do prefer a bottle, it’s just less stressful for me and I can feed him anywhere and not have to worry about him crying while he waits for me to get situated.

I just eat a baggy shirt or loose crop top and high leggings and I don’t have any issues exposing myself. I usually have a burp rag handy and throw that over baby’s head sometimes for a little extra coverage if he is popping on and off a lot. I mostly only have to nurse in public at the park though so not a lot of judge mental people there lol.

I have some awesome covers I got for shower presents. I always cover in public. I guess own modest in the way I don’t want people seeing my boobs. I also don’t like when people are very open about it if there are children around.

Yes sometimes but no, not always! I use the two shirt method, but having bigger boobs means that even with that, skin will likely be seen. However, not enough so that it’s super exposing! I often will cover with a blanket while baby is latching and then remove it because he likes to play with it and gets distracted by it. Personally I’m uncomfortable uncovered. I don’t even like my husband seeing me without a shirt tbh. But you better believe I’m whipping it out when my baby needs me to. 
I guess if I had to vote, I’d like an option for “I try to be decently covered, but not at the expense of my baby feeding”.
