Anyone else notice when they lost their stitches ?

I’m 5 weeks post partum and had a 2nd degree tear which they sewed up. I know I haven’t been cleared by my dr but I’ve been feeling just fine so I may have done a little yoga today.

It wasn’t really that intense but after my shower I found a long purple string hanging from my vaginal area. I pulled it out and realized that was probably my stitches. I know everything’s technically suppose to be healed up but it freaked me out seeing it! I thought they were suppose to dissolve?

I tore with my first kid too and never noticed anything. Am I going to get in trouble with my dr when I go in for my 6 week check up? Did this happen to anyone else?
