What to expect from a fertility specialist?

Question

I just had my initial consultation over the phone and he wants me to get an ultrasound ASAP to get started with medication.
I’ve already tried letrozole and Clomid, so what do you think he will do? It sounded as if he is wanting to keep trying Clomid....will he do anything else? 
I’d love to hear your experiences.

What they will do depends on your medical history and what’s keeping you from conceiving. 
We did blood work, ultrasound, and a semen analysis, then did letrozole with a trigger. For me, the trigger was vital as i don’t ovulate without it even if i take letrozole (and i don’t respond to clomid!) it was about 6 weeks from our consult til we started our first cycle. Good luck girl!

Have you ovulated on those meds? I never ovulated on either one by themselves but I ovulate when I combine them. You could ask about trying them together.
