My boyfriend agreed to pay for my birth control so I don’t have health insurance and I don’t have a job at the moment but my friends are telling me not to rely on my boyfriend for birth control

My boyfriend pays for mine. he just says he feels like he should be the one to pay for it so I let him 🤷‍♀️ lol. I get it online every three months through Nurx. he just cashapps me the money. he’s reliable but I also make sure I could pay for it if I needed to

My insurance covers mine but they don’t cover my antidepressant and when my husband was my boyfriend he’d pay for it time to time. Usually if he was the one to pick it up. He still does to this day

Mine did. He’s my boyfriend but it’s as if we’re already married we share finances and he works and I am a homemaker so I didn’t have a problem with it plus it was only $9. I didn’t have insurance either

There’s no reason he can’t pay for it if he doesn’t want kids right now. There are cheap online services for birth control you could look into. I personally don’t want to rely on my partner for anything but it’s nice to have help
