C section question

We have tentatively scheduled our date! I will ask my dr specific protocol when I go next week for my 37 week check up but had a question:

Did they mention being able to drink water prior? My last was emergency and I wasn’t able to drink other than ice chips for 36 hours while laboring. I know I don’t want to aspirate but I also know I’m a thirsty mama!

Our appointment is for 12:30😬I’m hoping to have maybe a few ice chips?

What instructions have you all be given?
