Ecv (turning of baby) has anyone gone through this??

Question

As anyone ever had to have an ECV in pregnancy (turning of the baby) when the baby is breech.  Would you say go for it or not bother ??

My daughter was breech at my 36 week growth scan. I decided to try the ECV as felt I would regret not giving it a go and the change of emergency csection was very low. In the end she turned before so I didn't need it.
From what I've heard from others if it's successful it's fairly easy and not painful (more uncomfortable) and if it is unsuccessful it will be very uncomfortable/painful. 
Also our back up was a planned csection but I was told if I had gone in for the csection and baby had turned they would not go ahead with the csection. Maybe worth bearing in mind as I think this would have stressed me out a lot.

I was offered it with my first...with all the leaflets I was given and the research I did it just wasn't an option for us. I didn't want to risk the placenta detaching and leading to emergency c section, midwife agreed and just said they have to offer it but she wouldn't. I had a scan at 36 weeks and she was breech, midwife showed me some exercises with a birthing ball and while I was doing them I had a washing machine feeling so they scanned me again and she had turned 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had to think about it with my second and after researching the risks ultimately decided against it if she was still breech by the time.
There's no guarantee that baby doesn't flip back up and then you'd still have a breech baby and have been through all the stress. There's also some risks to it. 
However, there's this website called spinningbabies.com that has great advice on how to help baby rotate without any dangerous procedure. My daughter did end up turning at 41 weeks by her self
