Kids say the darnest things...

I took my almost 3 year old to Hobby Lobby today. We were walking around looking for picture frames. My daughter has a habit of scuffing her feet so I usually tell her to pick her feet up a lot just because the sound drives me nuts lol. I had just told her to pick her feet up when not 10 seconds later a guy in a wheelchair went by us in the aisle. He was pushing himself with the wheels & didn’t have the foot rests down.

My daughter looks at him & goes “Hey! Pick your feet up!!”

This poor guy didn’t have the footrest down because he was a double amputee...

I apologized profusely to the guy & he ended up laughing about it but I felt (& still do feel) SO bad about it. I left the picture frame I was looking at on the shelf, scooped her up & just high tailed it out to the car to go home. I was absolutely mortified.
