Relationship advice

So my boyfriend and I have known each other for over 4 years and have dated twice before during previous years anyways we have been together for a year and eight months and today we just broke up (because we couldnt see each other anymore due to my parents, we are 17 and 18) but decided we wanting to continue talking because we both love each other and see where it leads us either friends or we will be back together at the end of this. any advice for me ? i will be leaving for college and he will be leaving for the military this upcoming june
