Atypical implantation bleeding?

Okay ladies I’m thoroughly confused. Yesterday, I had what I thought was my period, pretty red, and needed to wear a tampon through out the day. Yesterday was cycle day 26, 9 DPO. I usually have a 26-30 day cycle. However, I ovulated on CD 18 this month according to the LH sticks,so I shouldn’t be due till more so CD28-30 for my period. Now, today, I have yet to have a drop of blood on my tampons since 2am. I’m as dry as a bone as a matter of fact. Why would I have such a random day of bleeding? It was more than spotting but I had no PMS leading up to this either, usually I have all sorts of signs that my period is approaching. Any mamas have any idea?
