Birth control decreasing my sex drive?

Not sure if it is or not, but I have noticed that when I’m on the pill my sex drive is almost non existent.  On period week though, it spikes, and I was off of the pill for a week and my sex drive increased. 
Any suggestions on how to help with that? My partner and I are confused.

Unfortunately that’s just the side effect of birth control as it’s synthetic hormones.

Yeah it can be a side effect of BC is lowered sex drive.......
I increase foreplay, my partner would randomly start texting my throughout the day to get me going, sex became a little more spontaneous so the surprise of it would excite me. I got some toys to change things up

Common side effect. If it bothers you talk to your doctor about it and try something different.
