So I have an 8 year old, who has not started her period. My mom has been coming off strong about my kiddo using a starter bra, which I'm not against.. but I'm not sure if it's too soon??

For awhile my kid was gaining weight, which was causing some poking out in her chest. We did cut back the junk food and now there's nothing. But my mom still insists on her using a kid bra. She even bought one and sent it down, and asks my kid if I have her wearing it yet and gets mad each time my kid says no.

I thought pretty much when that area was starting to develop, that's when you would consider it time to get one. I dunno. What have others done?
