High HCG & some venting

Bre • ✨my year

A little back story... I conceived my 2nd son with IVF in 2019. This past July I had a failed FET. I didn’t go on birth control. I had a somewhat normal period after. This November, I missed my period. I then began getting nauseous throughout the day. Never did it cross my mind to check if I was pregnant. I went to my OB to have him so bloodwork, everything came back fine. Checked for covid- negative. So one night, I told myself, just check to make sure and rule everything out. 2 blue lines appeared. I’m in complete shock. I don’t get excited but rather shocked. I’ve been through so much to try & get pregnant. So I inform my fertility doctor & she tests my hcg & progesterone and estradiol. According to my last menstrual cycle, I’m about 7.5 weeks pregnant. But she let me know my hcg is at about 80,000 which she said could be Normal but also a little high for a spontaneous pregnancy. 🤷🏼‍♀️ oookay. 😞 of course, there’s always a but. So now I’m going on Monday for a ultrasound to be sure everything has implanted properly and there’s no molar pregnancy, etc.

why does there always have to be a but..... 😓 this journey is so hard.
