Pain during sex

First off just looking for people who May have experienced this- I’ll be going to the Obgyn in 2 weeks. This past year I had ovarian cyst surgical removed. No pain since it’s been done for over 7-8 months. This passed week while me and my husband have sex there has been sharp dull pain in certain positions almost as if he is hitting a wall. This happened in 2 separate occasions one in which was last night. I have 4 days til my period starts so it’s not ovulation pain. It feels as if it could be the return of the cyst.( I hope not As that would be awful to go through it all again). No there is not a chance of STIs-Anyone have experience with cyst return or any symptoms like mine!?!?
