14 weeks - how much?

Can y’all tell me how many oz of breast milk your babies are eating and how often? I was EBF but going back to work on Monday so I started pumping and I only get 3-4 oz. Does that mean that’s how much she eats per feeding? She eats 6x/day so I’m just not sure that’s enough.

My baby is a little over 14 weeks, exclusively breastfed. She eats around 4oz every 3-4 hours. Only wakes once to eat at night. Sounds normal to me! Like someone else said, pumping usually isn’t as effective as a nursing baby! They know how to get that milk out the best! Haha As long as your babe is gaining weight properly and has plenty of wet diapers, I would say its completely normal and what you pump does not reflect on your milk production.

I pump anywhere from 4-6 oz but if I’m with her I nurse. When I give a bottle it’s usually between 4-5 oz. She eats 5 or 6 times a day depends on the day. Sleeping through the night (at the moment)

Babies typically only need 1-2 oz per hour. If you’re getting 3-4oz that’s a really good amount. When I’ve done weighted feeds in the past my baby barely took 2 oz from me!

I'd say thats a pretty average amount. If you want to up it easily you just take Fenugreek tablets, you can get them on Amazon or a whole foods. They work really well.

Pumping is good but doesn’t yield the same amount as babe eats, so it might not accurately show how much she actually gets while nursing
