So my brother purchased 2 play pens for our daughters a couple weeks before my baby shower.

My Spouses uncle purchased us a play pen that was gifted to us at the baby shower. When we went home to put the gifts up my spouses mom was there and she asked to take the extra play pen to her house. At the time we said yes because there was company and just kidding of answering. Well I had told my spouse that I wanted to maybe try and exchange for something else and didn’t really want it at her house.

We don’t really have a relationship. She calls and talks to my husband and talks to me thru him so I don’t feel like my girls will be over there all the time to even use to play pen so I have asked for it back. I’m not comfortable with it. I’d rather have them with me

My spouse said he think that she gonna think we are trying to be funny but like I was explaining to him why do we have to “be moving funny”

For wanting a gift that was gifted to us. To me that’s selfish on her part regardless.

Is it understandable where I am coming from ? Or does it sound crazy ? Should I feel like I did something wrong ?
