Pumping Journey (Oversupply mentioned)

TrueCrimeNerd • Getting off this shit for a while! Good luck and baby dust to everyone.

Last night we finally reorganized the deep freezer. It was crazy to see all of the frozen milk out together at once, and to have a visual of half the hours I’ve spent at the pump. According to Pump Log, at 4 months pp I have been attached to my pump for a total of 12 days, 4 hours, and 18 minutes. I have pumped 62 gallons of milk.

I didn’t plan to EP, but feeding at the breast ended up not being an option. I’m so thankful for the ability to do this and I recognize how lucky I am to produce enough and more for my son. In a few months, I am hoping to start donating milk to help women who drew the short end of the stick on supply, and make sure they are able to feed their babies with breast milk.

As all of you know, being an EPer is HARD work. We take on pump time on top of feeding time and some days it’s all you can do not to throw your pump out the window. I have almost quit numerous times in the last 4 months. I am proud of myself and proud of all of you— no matter how much or how little milk we make, if we have to supplement with formula (I still have to for weight gain!), or whatever the situation is. We’ve got this!
