Guy says, "I'm not interested" to my interests?

Question

I tell the guy that I'm dating something that I'm interested in, but almost every time he flat out tells me that he's not interested. Tried to share a YouTube video with him, not interested. Tell him about a video game I like, not interested. Don't get me wrong, he seems to show me affection in other ways which seem more physical than emotional, but still crave to deepen our emotional connection. Is this normal ladies and how would you navigate this?

It will be a long life if you stay in a relationship like this.  Yes, I think it is healthy to have your own interests and hobbies, but just responding with "not interested " is disrespectful and not a partner I would want to be with.  I like playing softball but my husband doesn't - he still comes to my games to watch.  He loves fishing but I didn't grow up with anyone that fished - I now fish with him so we have quality time together.

It's ok to have different interests. It's ok if he isn't interested in everything you're interested in. God knows my husband has 3 or 4 hobbies I can't seem to force myself to give a shit about and I certainly have no interest in the YouTube videos he enjoys. He also doesn't like my podcasts or a handful of hobbies I have. It doesn't mean we don't love each other. It just means we have some interests we enjoy on our own. 
Part of dating is learning about other things you both enjoy and have in common. Come right out and tell him you want to find something you both can enjoy together so he knows what you're up to. Keep talking, keep trying with other things, ask him about his interests and see if there's something on his list you like.

There are plenty of things my husband likes that I’m not interested in and I still let him tell me about them. And he does the same for me. He sounds super rude.

Wow, that is rude. Even if he's not into it, he could at least hear you out to find more about you and what you're into and everything. For him to just blatantly shut you down like that about a lot of things is definitely not normal and really, super selfish on his part.

Put simply, he's just not that into you. If he truly cared about you, he would display interest in the things you like. He doesn't necessarily have to love everything you love, but he would be interested because he cares about you - who you are, what you like, the things that matter to you - all the things that make you who you are. He's getting the physical benefits without really investing in you and your relationship.

True of most of the girls said. If you are on a relationship or going into, you should respect your interests. It doesn’t mean you will like the same, but not saying “not interested”. It’s so many things that My boyfriend likes and I don’t, but I still spend some time with him bc I love him. Some of his movies i don’t like and I still watch it with him. You deserve better. I can’t be with someone that always treat me that way.
