IUD: take out or leave in?

Hello ladies! I have the Kyleena IUD insert a few months before I got married and I’ve had it for almost 3 years! It’s a 5 year IUD and I recently (this month) started having some issues with my cycle. Pain and some intense emotional ups and downs. I was contemplating taking it out and trying a different form of BC or maybe just using condoms to prevent pregnancy until I finish my degree. (At least) has anyone had success with condoms and could give me some positive stories? I also would like some negatives so that I can weigh my options accurately. Or if anyone has birth control suggestions that would be awesome as well. Like maybe the patch? I have no experience other than my IUD.

I’ve had the Mirena IUD for almost 3 years as well and recently have been getting awful pelvic pain and cramps and I’ve been spotting for 10 days which is odd for me because my period has stopped after having it inserted. I’m also wondering if I should have mine removed!

I had the Liletta IUD for almost a year and LOVED IT(only had it taken out because it moved) and had no other problems. With the Patch, the pills and the shot I was an emotional wreck. I was mean, I was depressed and all I wanted to do was sleep. The patch and the pills took a big toll on me emotionally more than the shot, but with the Shot I was in so much pain due to having my period for almost 6 months straight and becoming extremely anemic. I’ve never had any problems with condoms personally. I just hate the way they feel.
