Should I Thank Him?

My ex and I were going half on everything, car, phone and car insurance. For about 8months, He got into an accident, hasn't been back to work, but has been getting paid. But we both decided it was time for me to take over everything, on my own. I've thought about thanking him for doing so, Because I know he didn't have to, when the only thing we share now is our 10month old. But, Women who I've spoken to tell me I shouldn't, Since it's his duty, Since he cheated on me right after I had the baby. One side of me tells me to leave it alone, Maybe he was doing it because of his guilt. But then the other side, tells me that I should. He could of cut me off right there and then. What would you do?
