I’ve been talking to this guy for quite some time (we aren’t exclusive yet) and he asked me if I’d be able to stay at his place in January. I talked to my mom, and she said no, because of the virus. She said we could talk about it again after the virus was over. This was understandable and I was okay with this. But today she tells me that I have to be moved out before I can stay over at his house, because her and my dad don’t think my sisters should see that kind of behavior. I am 19 years old. I feel that I’m old enough to spend the night at his house, but I guess I need to live on my own before I can. Do I have a right to be upset?

I think you should move out of her house and then do what you want to do. You are grown now. She looking out for the other ones that she has time to save for shacking up with a man.

I think that your sisters don’t exactly need to know your whereabouts , just that you’d be staying with a friend. I can understand a parents perspective about setting an example for them, but if your sisters are just kids they don’t need to be fully aware of what you’re doing as you are an adult. I would be upset too in your shoes but I would worry about it when it’s a pressing matter if the virus is keeping you from doing so anyhow. Stay safe and good luck 🤍

A lot of woman on here are going to say “her house her rules” BUT in my opinion, yes you have a right to be upset, you are 19 your a young adult not a child.
