Hi guys i am on the lookout for a nonhormonal birth control and i have been thinking of the iud copper 10 yrs. Do you guys recommend it and what were the pros and cons for you ,?

I actually just had mine removed today after 10 years. I liked it because I didn’t have to worry about remembering a pill or basically anything. Cons were the heaviness of my period for like the first year or two. They were really really heavy. Like I had to use Ultra tampons and it would still bleed through on occasion. After a while it definitely lightened up and I had no issues
