Prescribed Letrozole and Clomid together

It’s been awhile since my husband and I were TTC. We took about a year and a half break on that just because it’s emotionally exhausting and now with Covid everything is a mess.

However, this is my first cycle back TTC and we’re under the care of a new fertility specialist who also specializes in PCOS.

I’ve taken Letrozole and Clomid separately in the past with mediocre results. However, this new doctor prescribed me BOTH at the same time CD 6-10, then yesterday (CD 13) I went for the follicle study and my doctor told me to put my trigger shot aside for now and do 5 more days of Clomid and Letrozole for CD 13-17 and on CD 20 I’ll do another follicle study.

I’ve never been prescribed both medications at one time, let alone both medications twice in one cycle. I trying searching the forums and even googled but haven’t heard of this. Has anyone else had this experience?
