Gift for someone who lost a child?

Please help... what gift can I give to someone who lost her child during pregnancy? Champagne and chocolates? Prosecco a d chocolates? What should i write in the card? I am not good at these things

She is not my friend in real life, we are friends on social media so I don’t know much about her to be able to send personalised gifts or take her to dinner

Champagne is seen as more celebratory.  I’d do nice wine and some chocolates instead

If she’s just someone you know via the internet, not in real life, I wouldn’t send anything TBH. You just don’t know her well enough to send something meaningful. If you’re dead set, I’d stick with just sending a card.

Chocolate, maybe. Champagne, definitely not. Champagne is for celebrations. Maybe also consider a gift card for a food delivery service like GrubHub or DoorDash. A simple card that says something like “Thinking of you” would be nice too.

I would avoid alcohol altogether as generally that’s for celebrations. 
If you don’t know her well I’d stick with a nice card. If you really wanted to get something maybe some chocolates, flowers or a potted plant.
If you are close then something like a meal delivery, or cleaning service might be helpful.
If you are close then I think naming a star is one of the most beautiful gifts- she won’t feel obligated to keep anything physical around but it’s a beautiful and permanent acknowledgement.
One of my friends who lost a child said while she was very grateful, she got way too many necklaces, candles, memorial stones, etc. that she ended up just putting in a drawer. She chose a ring herself and that’s all she wanted to wear.

When I miscarried I told my husband I needed flowers, which we rarely do. I wanted something pretty and soft that smelled good to bring a little cheer.
He had the florist do white rose buds. I kept the smallest one and dried it upside down, it’s in a tall rose vase in my bathroom where I’ll notice it nearly every day. 
My husband also put a single blue rose in the arrangement to remind me we are blessed with our son and to help me be strong and focus on him, push past the grief. It was perfect and I dried that too and have them together.
Now I’m pregnant again and as soon as I find out the gender I’m getting another rose to add. 😊💕

Honestly snacks and easy dinners might be the way to go. Its painful and its hard to find motivation to feed yourself and your family when you’re recovering from loss.
