Mirena Questions

I just got the Mirena IUD in early September of this year, and for the first couple of months I would have light spotting here and there. Now I’m bleeding quite a bit heavier. Before this, I was on the depo for 2 years and didn’t have a period. I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if the bleeding slows down or stops altogether like the depo did?
