36.5 weeks?

Just got back from my weekly check up today, got my gbs swab test done. And my doctor checked me and I’m already at 3cm dilated and 60%effaced! Have any of you other mamas around the same time as me been checked and what were you?? lol
Doc said he may be here by Christmas. But we’re due to be induced on the 3 at 39.3 weeks but she really doesn’t think he’ll make it!

I checked myself at 33 and some odd days and could easily move two fingers through the cervix which felt like 2.5-3cm and today at 35 weeks I was officially checked and confirmed to be 3cm.
But I’m one of those women who dilates early and has never gone before my due date. With my first son my first check was at 37 weeks and I was 3cm. They did a sweep at 37, 38, & 39 weeks and each week I was thinning out more but remained 3cm. He came the day after his due date.
With my second my first check was at 38+4 weeks and I was 4.5 cm with two weeks of prodromal labor and my midwife could feel his head right there with bulging waters and could see my uterus contracting from across the room. We all thought he was coming. The kid hanged on for 12 more days and was finally born just past midnight of 40+4
Soooo.... I’d love to say being 3cm at 33 weeks and having him confirmed to be fully engaged at 35 weeks means j won’t make it to my due date. Each pregnancy I had the doctor swear I wouldn’t make it to my due date. But I did each time so at this point, not getting my hopes up 😂. I was mentally and physically exhausted with anticipating him to come and wanting him our and going through awful prodromal labor. 
This time, I’m just recognizing that dilation doesn’t mean anything in regards to how close labor is and anecdotally it appears women who focus on getting things going are less likely to go early than those who are relaxed and not focused on it and are expecting baby to come a couple of weeks later. Labor is a hormonal process and doctors still don’t know what causes it to start (though there’s some theories that when the lungs are complete there’s a hormone put off from the baby).

I was 36 weeks and 2cm dilated and 60% effaced! Definitely won’t be making my due date at of Jan. 6 the doctor said. But it is also my 4th and I have always dilated early and quickly!

I had my checkup and gbs swab yesterday and they checked me and I wasn’t even dilated but I was 50% effaced 😭. I guess he’s taken his sweet time and won’t be out until after he’s due 😭 I’m 36+3.

I had my gbs swab done yesterday and was checked and nothing so far at 36.5 weeks🤷🏻‍♀️
