My little man is finally here 💙 my story

After 6 days of labor starting and stopping, excruciating contractions and back pain, I went in at 40 weeks and was told I was at 5cm and got admitted. I thought I was having primordial labor but it was because he was sunny side up, my labor kept starting and stopping, this caused a rough labor because he got stuck passing my pelvic bone and my dr had to literally push on my cervix to melt away the part that wouldn't ripen to get me to 10cm. In the last few days before delivery I had the worst back pain, I couldn't sit or stand or do anything. I went in at 1030AM yesterday and had my baby boy today at 946AM. I dialated quickly to 6.5 and asked for the morphine because the contractions were so strong and I was shaking so bad and couldn't move around well due to the back pain. I quickly moved to 8.5 cm but then we couldn't progress further and the contractions stalled a bit. I got some fentanyl but it didnt help at all with pain management. I had to beg for the epidural at 8.5 because the nurse was super busy dealing with c sections that were made priority over me, which I get, but she could see how much pain I was in and I was worried it would be too late because she wasn't getting the anesthesiologist any time soon and kinda brushed me off saying she had the c sections to deal with. I couldn't get into the position my dr wanted because of my back pain. Once I got the epidural I got relief. We did all kinds of crazy positions to try and get him to move from sunny side up but he wouldn't budge. Some of the nurses alluded to having a c section after relentlessly trying to move him and his heart rate dropping in certain positions. But I really wanted to have him naturally. I started to feel like I had to poop and push and my dr had to push my cervix super hard to push away the part that wouldn't ripen. I finally got to 10cm after some pitocin and started pushing. He was stuck on my pelvic bone because of his position but I pushed and pushed for 2.5 hours, I thought he would never get out. Just when I wanted to give up and started to ask for the dr who does the vacuum we got him out. He tore me at 9 lbs 13oz. So much relief when he came out. My sweet little man is here at 40w 1 day. He also had the cord wrapped around his neck twice and pooped in the amniotic sac so he has to be monitored for a few days. Welcome to the world baby boy💙
