Mucus plug or bloody show? (Pics)

Suzie

In my last pregnancy I had a sweep the day before my induction and definitely had a bloody show (it was huge, muccousy and streaked with blood) I went into labour really quickly with my induction but not sure if it was a combination of the induction and labour being imminent, I guess I’ll never know! But this time around I have been losing my non-bloody mucous plug for a week, and yesterday (my due date) I received a membrane sweep and about 2 hours later my discharge turned pink and then lots of pink/brown and red tinged mucous started to come out. It’s driving me mad because I don’t know if it’s just irritated from the sweep action or if it really is my true bloody show! Today it’s still coming out but tapering off now.

How soon after a successful (and I imagine it was as she said she was thorough and I was 2cm dilated and she could feel the head) sweep might one imagine going into labour? Does this sound like a true bloody show? I’m really hoping I get this baby put naturally before Christmas and before my booked induction on Boxing Day!!!
