Has anyone had a decent year this year?

I had a baby girl this year, so it’s been pretty great!

Its been rough and not because of covid, but that definitely didn't help. 
My first baby, my absolute treasure, my cat passed in January.  
My mom got really sick and needed surgery in March. 
My husband could come to my doctors and ultrasound appointments 
The baby had an enlarged kidney that needed extra appointments 
My dad almost died and needed lung surgery (not covid) and we couldn't go to the hospital to see him.
I got furloughed. My position at work as basically been wiped out and moneys tight because of it. 
But my son is healthy, noth my parents made it through, my daughter was born perfect,  and my husband is working over time. We still have a roof over our head and each other so I can't complain to much.

I had a beautiful baby girl this year, but my dog passed away in such a horrific, traumatic way so I voted “Not bad.”

pretty great! got a raise and new jobs, everyone in my family is happy and healthy, and we're spending time in the winter cabin as long as there's snow.

I’d say it’s been a tough year

- we went into lockdown just as my antidepressants started working and I wanted to reconnect with friends
- my dog died at half his life expectancy
- I’m in the process of getting diagnosed with ADHD
- now my antidepressants aren’t working as well
- I lost my period for a while and my hormones are out of wack
- I found lumps in my breasts (I’m 16) and had to get a biopsy (fibroadenomas, it literally hurts when I run half of every month)
- In January I dropped a barbell which fell on my wrist and twisted it. So I crushed my wrist while twisting it but didn’t go to the doctor and know I have limited movement and I’m a piano player
- Covid has stuck me and my dad with my bipolar and emotionally manipulating and traumatizing mother for at least another year (She’s been saving to move out again for 2 years over her original plan now and not for an ok reason)
- my grades continually drop in my best subjects
- I have somehow worse anger issues and panic attacks
- I haven’t had my own bathroom since July so I fall down the stars every night to use the bathroom
- and we have a shot load of mold in our basement (where I workout out) and kitchen

I had the work opportunity of a lifetime to live in San Diego for 8 months with all expenses paid working on a first in kind treatment for babies, I got married, I got a promotion, and I’m part of a vaccine trial! I’m bummed I wasn’t able to travel, but I had the opportunity to explore a part of the country I had never been to. I really had a great year overall.

I caught covid in March and almost died. Still have lingering complications. 
I was laid off from my job. 
My neighborhood was teargassed extensively due to BLM protests. First time I left my window open and got it all over my apartment. 
My neighborhood went crazy dangerous. I had a guns pointed at my head just trying to drive up to my apartment. Two teenagers were murdered a block away. Five people were shot in 8 days.  It was hell. 
I was attacked and almost raped by a homeless man. I got away fighting, and called the cops but they couldn't find him. My attacker got a different woman a block away from my apartment weeks later. She was not so lucky. 
3 friends died of covid. Then my uncle and my cousin also died. We still can't have a funeral. 
Then I got pregnant unexpectedly... I moved away from my dangerous neighborhood, and am trying to sort out my PTSD from the year with a therapist on zoom. I still am looking for a job. 
But weirdly enough, I find reasons to be happy everyday. I love a good man, my dog and cat are adorable, and I have a miracle baby growing inside of me.

Its been up and down. My dog passed away, but I also got a job I love, finally working toward and getting answers concerning my health, and I'm getting a vehicle. So it hasn't been bad but it hasn't been good either.

This was the second worst year I had 6 deaths in my family last year nothing is that bad but this year someone I have a restraining order on recently come out of jail what a bad year
