hyaluronic acid is bad?

Lina

can anyone who specializes in skincare of any sort help me?

i’ve been using this serum for a couple months because so many people have recommended it but i’ve seen a few people say it’s really bad for you. apparently it’s more of a treatment for when you’re older and your skin is more dull and it does more harm than good to younger skin. i forgot exactly what they said but something about your skin producing less collagen because it becomes reliant on hyaluronic acid. any opinions?

HA is perfectly safe to use, however, the only thing to remember is to not use it on a very dry face as it’ll draw out moisture from the deeper tissue in your skin and make your skin feel more dry and dehydrated, hence, use it on a damp face.since our body’s naturally produce this, it is perfectly fine to use on the skin, more so, the levels of it aren’t high in these skin care items so it wouldn’t cause in harm. allergic reactions are very very low due to it not being a foreign entity to the body.

also, HA doesn’t affect collagen biosynthesis. many studies have show that it either helps collagen biosynthesis or plays a minimal role in it. the thing about HA and it’s effects on collagen has to do with embryos and skin healing, it has nothing to do with skincare and the use of HA for beauty purposes.

I’ve read that HA is good to start using as young as 20. It’s really just a moisture binder.
