I took my 15 week old son to get his check up and vaccine. He is currently 16 pounds 3ounces and 67cm which is about 26inches. The doctor said that he is overweight and asked how much I feed him and how often. I told him he is getting 6oz of formula every 3 hours and he gasped and said that is too much I should go back down to 5oz as he is too big for a 4 month old. I told him that when I give him only 5oz he cries after the bottle is done which is why I moved him up to 6oz. The doctor said I should stick with 5oz because I shouldn’t want him to get too big. This has made me feel kind of embarrassed I myself am overweight and still have most of the baby weight and I have been bullied before and for someone to do this to my baby made me feel terrible. I literally cried after the appointment and while writing this. How much do your babies weigh and how much are they eating?
