What path should I take in my future

I have no idea what I’m doing in a job/making money. I’ve never really had a plan on my future but I’m 20 years old and I at least want to picture my future. I’m all over the place and can’t picture my future at all. Atm I am in retail and would like to travel but I feel like after I’m done travelling I don’t want to go back to retail. I personally feel like a 9-5 job is such a waste of life

I think that if you're at the point where you're asking people who don't know anything about you what you should dedicate your entire life to, that's a seriously bad sign and I think you should step back. Step back and breathe, since you seem pretty unnerved with the situation you're in. Another thing, ask yourself what made you pick those three options and deeply evaluate each one. Lastly, do your best to keep in mind that there is no set time for you to get your life together. I know you might be odd examples and sound cheesy but ou can have your final plan at 30, your first kiss at 40, get your dream job at 50, travel the world at 60... if you feel pressured by others to have everything done in your 20s, try to understand it's just an illusion and everyone can do things as they go. Life is not a race, it's a journey. I hope you get the answers you're looking for soon :-)

My younger brother is 19 and worries about the same thing as you. My advise is this, people expect younger people to find what they want to do for the rest of their lives but in reality a lot of people don’t know what to do. I think you have your whole life to live so try to relax a little bit. Try finding things you love to do. It could be anything. My mom has had so many different jobs but she doesn’t know exactly what to do either. It’s okay to not know. Life is short so live it up while you can.
