My period 12/3/20-12/7/20 got positive pregnancy tests 12/14/20, Went to the doctors on Thursday 12/17/20 and he said he doesn’t see anything and ordered blood work. Should I be worried or should I just wait I did had a ectopic pregnancy around Jan-Feb 2019 but with that one I didn’t have symptoms of pregnancy. I have symptoms nausea, headache, cramps, spotting, & always hungry.

This exact thing happened to me last month. I had what I thought was my period, then had positive OPKs right away and I was unknowingly pregnant. I went to the doctor and had SO many blood draws over the course of a week. My HCG was not doubling and i eventually started bleeding and lost the pregnancy to early miscarriage 😞 wishing the best for you

You might just be really early still. Did he do an abdominal ultrasound or vaginal probe ultrasound? The abdominal is much harder to see anything that early. Even with vaginal if you are under 5 weeks, you might not see enough to confirm pregnancy. He likely wants bloodwork to see where your hcg levels are at.

It’s physically impossibly to get a positive pregnancy test a week after your period. Could you have already been pregnant when you had a “period”? Typically you don’t even ovulate until a week or 2 after your period, then it takes 10-14 days to get a positive test after that.
