To test or not to test

I am 11 DPO. This is our 5th month TTC and I really don't want to be disappointed but also want to know. So test tomorrow morning first thing or wait till I get a period or not?

I get really excited around the time of ovulation but just feel sad and disappointed when my period is getting closer. I just feel like this isn't going to happen.
