Hi everyone! I’m 38 weeks and I just got had my first cervical exam yesterday. The doctor said I was 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced, and he also said that he could feel her head when he was doing the exam so she has definitely dropped into my pelvis. Ive had some cramping but nothing that seems like contractions. My question is...does this mean labor is coming soon, as in the next week or so?This is my first pregnancy and I have no idea what that information means!

What has been your experience? What should I expect? Did your baby come before 40 weeks? Everyone has been telling me all along that first pregnancies usually go well beyond 40 weeks😩
