We are on day 3 of potty training and it’s making me realize how stubborn my LO is! Day 1 and 2 I questioned a million times why we were doing this. We had very little success and our carpets were soaked with pee and cleaner. Day 1- I think she peed in the toilet once. She peed on the floor 100 times. She did stay dry for nap and her night time diaper was mostly dry in the morning. Day 2- she peed in the potty 3 times and peed on the floor less than day 1. By the end of day 2, we started having more success. She kept her underwear dry during nap and woke up with a dry night time diaper. Day 3- she had 2 small accidents, and caught herself both times. She pooped I. The potty and is currently dry during her nap! She is signing when she has to go potty and signing when she wants to try. We are rewarding every little success and she helps clean up any accidents and helps change her undies. Hopefully it continues to go smoothly!

Update- we are in week 2. She is doing great! She’s only had a few small accidents, like when she waits to long and then can’t hold it anymore. Or is extremely tired and playing. But we are still working on it. She signs potty when she needs to go or wants to try. She hasn’t been using diapers for naps and bedtime and has been staying dry! She goes back to school next week, so hopefully she can continue the great work with all those distractions!
