Painful sex 8 weeks postpartum

Am 8 weeks postpartum breastfeeding mom trying to have sex. But my vagina isn’t opening and i am in excruciating pain everytime he tries to penetrate. Its like my vagina contracted and closed up. We even used lube but of no use. I could only take 1 finger in my vagina and to my surprise, i orgasmed a lot quicker than i used to before delivery.

Is this pain normal? How can we fix this and have sex?

Went to dr today. She told me that my stiches healed with a small gap, so when ever there is a pressure it would hurt. She suggested i might need a small procedure to cut and re-stich. It took ne 6 weeks to heal the initial stiches during when i couldnt breastfeed my baby. Now she says this might take another 2 weeks, which is making me think if i should get it done.
