Mastitis?

I have a lump on my left breast and it’s very painful. It also looks a little red. Have you experienced something similar? If so, did you go to the doctor or it went away on its own? Any recommendations are very appreciated! Thank you!!

Sounds like a plugged duct, but if you start getting chills and fever and feel like death, then it’s turned into mastitis! I found that hot showers, especially before feeding, drinking enormous amounts of water, and tons of vitamin C all really helps plugged ducts & mastitis. Also massaging and pushing at the spot. You want it to empty as much as possible. I hope it feels better soon.

Sounds like a clogged duct. I’ve gotten about 5 of them. They are painful mine went away within 5-10 hours. Hot shower/bath, massager or hand massage it a lot and have the baby suck it a bunch. Even if they can’t get it keep having them try

Yep, I had a lump that was red before I got a fever which confirmed mastitis. Take an Epsom
Salt bath and express/feed from that boob as much as you can until the clogged duct is gone. If it doesn’t go away in 48 hours ish go to the dr. I went to the dr when I had mine right away and they prescribed antibiotics but I didn’t need them
