Induction?

Hiii I’m currently 38 weeks and 2days! Have any other mamas been told maybe they will be induced if they don’t have any pains yet? 🙊
are their any things to do to help you body naturally start labor ?

Induced when? I know some places will offer it at 39 weeks if you want to, I’m in Australia and they won’t until 10 days over. If it’s your first and your not feeling too bad wait it out a little bit it’s much nicer to go into labour yourself :)

I would never choose to be Induced. Natural labor is a lot better and easier than induction. 
Sex, walking, asking for a membranes sweep. I’ll hold out until they force me to be induced.

I’ve tried walking , squats , eating pineapples all the stuff they keep saying do isn’t working!! I’m over the pain so I’m going to try and induce myself Sunday

I was induced at 38 weeks due to my son being small but perfectly healthy.
I walked all the time, squatted, had sex and didn't dilate at all until I got induced and got the epidural.

I'm 17 weeks exactly and have already been told by my OB that he will not let me go past 38 weeks because my 1st was 10lbs and I'm already on track for another large baby (no GD). Reason is purely to keep me from potentially having to have a c-section.

My doctors tried inducing me with my first son because he didn't come out the date they gave. I refused and he came out 4 days later

I wouldn’t trust that unless there’s a covid/situational reason your doctors suggesting it. Pains on their own aren’t a good reason
My midwives are heavily against inducing for elective reasoning, but are only recommending it because of situational factors that affect the covid restrictions.

Why would you experience any pains? It sounds ridiculous to induce because of that reason. Inductions results in a significant higher complications during birth for mother and baby. 
I just can get my head around why a doctor would offer something like that. Is it financially more beneficial for them or more convenient because they can plan it? 
Where I live they only induce for medical reasons and if there are not medical reasons induction is performed from 41 weeks on.
