Boyfriend is a Christmas Grinch..

So I've been with my boyfriend for nearly 3 years. Leading up to the first Christmas we spent together, he warned me that he was a bit of a Grinch and didn't like celebrating Christmas. In my mind I though he just didn't like the over commercialised part of Christmas, which can be overwhelming. We did Christmas eve with my family, he was polite, respectful and had a good time. On the way home however he saw Christmas lights and started ranting about how he hated Christmas etc. I didn't think anything of it. Anyways, 3 years on its the same thing. On Christmas day he is always the same, grouchy, moody, doesn't want to wish anyone a merry Christmas, doesnt like Christmas food or putting up decorations. We compromised on a tree and doing gifts just for us and every second year spending Christmas with my family He's fine Christmas eve and boxing day but as soon as the big day comes around he makes comments about not wanting to do the Christmas lunch, having a tree, having to do secret Santa etc. How everyone ruins Christmas and that he can't spend the day gaming because Xbox live is always down. He ends up going to bed and leaving me to spend the day by myself.

I've now started to dread this time of year. We compromise and talk about it and he seems fine but then on the day he's a Grinch. We are TTC for our first child and I'm worried he will want to push this agenda onto our kids. I've asked whether something happened to him to make him feel this way and he avoids it. I don't know what to do.. I love him, he's an amazing man, so thoughtful and caring. He supports my career, loves my family and takes good care of us. It's just when Christmas comes around he changes into someone I don't recognise.
