Absolutely not, my dad used to walk 10 miles just to see me for 4 hours, In all weather after a full days work. Then walk home again. (Or even worse he'd walk all that way just for my mother to shut the door in his face, but he'd still turn up the next day.)
There's honestly no excuse I'd except for being a shit parent, I cut my own mother out of my life for constantly trying to make excuses and trying to buy my love.
Effort is more important than anything, and if you can't make an effort for your own flesh and blood then that really says something about a person.

There is a whole court system to deal with uncooperative exes. If a man isnt seeing his kids that is a decision he has made. I personally have little resect for absentee parents so no, I wouldnt be in a relationship with him.

Sounds like he doesn’t take responsibility for anything. He blames his ex for everything and doesn’t see his kids. Sounds like a kid to me. So what happens if you have a kid with him? Do you want the father of your children to be like that? How can a man who doesn’t show love for his own children love another woman?
The way a person treats their family, especially their children, says a lot about them.

I learned from watching my brother not even give a single lick of care for his son or his baby mama so, no. Now it’s why I have partial guardianship of my nephew with his mom. I have more respect for single moms now
