Any mums to be here living in Australia??

Question

Would be great to connect as I feel our system here works differently to the states (as far as I can tell most women here are American). 
For example, I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and weve been told there won't be another until 20 weeks??? But it seems a lot of women here get ultrasounds at 12 weeks too...???

I'm from NZ and have noticed majority of people on here are from America as well 
Here in NZ we have 3 scans dating scan, 12week scan where we also get tested to see if baby has down syndrome and then the 20 week scan only more after that if it's medical related/growth

I’m from Australia! I had a dating scan at 6 weeks, I’ll have the nuchal translucency scan at 12 weeks and anatomy scan at 18-20 weeks.

I’m from Australia, I had a dating scan at 6.2 weeks, another scan at 9 weeks because my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 8.3 weeks, and my next scan is next Monday when I will be 12.6 weeks.

I’m from Australia it’s your choice whether or not you do the Down syndromesxan at 12 weeks I’ve always done it but it is out of pocket cost but you do get rebated some of it back depending what ultrasound place you go to

I’m from NZ and yeah I’ve had a dating scan, have another scan at 12 weeks and another at 16w with my midwife and then 20w proper anatomy scan :)

I'm from Australia also good to know tthere are other Aussies here as well!!, but I am high risk pregnancy again so will probably end up with many more ultra sounds during this pregnancy! In saying that there is the 12 week scan which is out of pocket then the 18-20 week one usually unless you want to also book a private scan to find out gender around the 17-18 week mark
